Grok Bot Download: Mac, Windows, and iPhone
Get Grok Bot from x.ai/bot — not a random GitHub mirror. Desktop is macOS and Windows. The companion app is iPhone on iOS 18+. Linux, Android, and iPad are not supported at launch.

Quick answer
Where do you download Grok Bot?
Download Grok Bot from the official product page at x.ai/bot. The desktop app supports macOS on Apple silicon and Intel, and Windows on x64 and Arm64. The companion app supports iPhone on iOS 18 or later. Linux desktop, Android, and iPad are not supported at initial launch. You still need an eligible SuperGrok or Cursor plan (or the limited trial) to actually run Bots.
- Official source: x.ai/bot — desktop plus iPhone companion
- macOS: Apple silicon and Intel
- Windows: x64 and Arm64
- iPhone: iOS 18 or later; iPad is not listed
- Linux desktop and Android: not supported at initial launch
The only download URL worth bookmarking is x.ai/bot . Grok Bot uses Cursor authentication. If a third-party site is offering a “Grok Bot APK” or a Linux .deb on day one of the beta, treat it as malware until xAI says otherwise. After you install, finish the listing in an App Store screenshot generator — Grok Bot does not export store-ready sizes.
Platform support is documented in the Grok Bot FAQ , not in launch-week screenshots of a Linux build that may have been a rumor. At initial launch the supported set is macOS, Windows, and iPhone.
Supported platforms
| Platform | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| macOS | Supported | Apple silicon and Intel |
| Windows | Supported | x64 and Arm64 |
| iPhone | Supported | iOS 18 or later; companion app, same threads as desktop |
| iPad | Not supported | FAQ lists iPad as unsupported at initial launch |
| Linux desktop | Not supported | FAQ: not supported at initial launch |
| Android | Not supported | FAQ: not supported at initial launch |
If you are on Linux, Android, or iPad, you cannot run the official Grok Bot client yet. Plan around Mac, Windows, or iPhone, or wait.
Install without making a mess
- Desktop: download from x.ai/bot, sign in with the Cursor account that holds the seat, create one Bot, grant access per job.
- iPhone: same account. Threads sync. iOS 18 is the floor; if the App Store page says otherwise, trust the store listing over this sentence and recapture your own listing screenshots.
- Do not sideload an Android package. Android is not a launch platform.
- Do not run unofficial “Telegram Grok Bot” bridges and assume they are this product. They are not.
The iPhone listing itself is a useful ASO case. We walked it in The Grok Bot iOS app: what the product page has to prove, and what indie teams should copy without copying the brand.
After install: one job, then screenshots
The first useful job for an app founder is not “automate my company.” It is a bounded research task that ends in copy you can paste into a listing tool. The Bot can keep working after you lock the phone. The store still needs honest frames of your binary.
Download and run the first Bot
Open the official page only
https://x.ai/bot. Skip search-ad mirrors and GitHub “cracks.”
Install desktop or iPhone, not both first
Pick the machine you will actually monitor. Sign in. Confirm the plan badge shows Grok Bot access.
Create one specialist Bot
Give it a job description and a hard rule: no sends, no purchases, no App Store Connect clicks without approval.
Assign a closed-ended listing task
Use a prompt from Grok Bot prompts for app developers, then drop the captions onto real captures in AppGrowthKit.
Grok Bot download questions
Not from xAI at initial launch. The FAQ says Android is unsupported. Any APK in the wild is unofficial and unsafe.
The FAQ says Linux desktop is not supported at initial launch. Ignore launch-week posts that claimed otherwise unless xAI updates that page.
The FAQ lists iPhone on iOS 18 or later and explicitly says iPad is not supported at initial launch.
Yes. The FAQ says the same Bots and conversations sync across signed-in devices.
The app and the entitlement are separate. Check that the signed-in account is on an eligible SuperGrok or Cursor plan, or that a trial credit is still active.

What Is Grok Bot? Always-On Agents, Explained
Grok Bot is xAI’s always-on agent with a cloud computer. Indie app teams use it for research and caption drafts, then finish App Store screenshots and icons in AppGrowthKit — the store-sized export Grok Bot does not have.
The Grok Bot iOS App: What Founders Should Copy
Grok Bot’s iPhone companion is iOS 18+, syncs threads with desktop, and has to sell an always-on computer you cannot see on a 6.9″ screen. That is a listing problem every agent-app founder is about to have.
Grok Bot Billing: Weekly Usage vs On-Demand Token Cost
There is no standalone Grok Bot SKU. Eligible SuperGrok and Cursor plans include weekly usage; extra work is on-demand billing from model and token cost. Here is the indie-readable map.
How to Use Grok Bot with AppGrowthKit
Create one specialist Bot, give it a closed-ended ASO job, then paste the surviving captions onto real app screens in AppGrowthKit and export store sizes.
