Grok Bot Billing: Weekly Usage vs On-Demand Token Cost

There is no standalone Grok Bot SKU. Eligible SuperGrok and Cursor plans include weekly usage; extra work is on-demand billing from model and token cost. Here is the indie-readable map.

Quick answer

How much does Grok Bot cost?

Grok Bot is not sold as its own subscription. xAI’s FAQ lists eligible plans as SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Pro+, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Standard and Premium. Those subscriptions include weekly Grok Bot usage; extra work can bill on-demand from model and token cost. If you hold both a Cursor and a SuperGrok subscription, Grok Bot uses whichever has more usage. Dollar amounts belong on the live Cursor and SuperGrok pricing pages, not in a stale screenshot of this article.

  • No standalone Grok Bot plan as of August 25, 2026
  • Eligible: SuperGrok Plus and Heavy, Cursor Pro+ and Ultra, Cursor Teams Standard and Premium
  • Weekly usage is included; overage is on-demand token billing
  • Dual SuperGrok + Cursor accounts use whichever pool has more usage
  • Enterprise is a sales / waitlist path, not a self-serve SKU

Search “Grok Bot pricing” and you will get a pile of inferred dollar tables. The primary source is shorter. xAI’s Grok Bot FAQ says availability and billing depend on the account and plan, then names the eligible list, then sends you to the current access page and Cursor pricing for current terms.

That is the honest article: name the plans, explain usage, refuse to freeze a price that Cursor can change tomorrow, and be clear about what Grok Bot does not buy you — namely a store-ready screenshot pipeline. For that job use an App Store screenshot generator and export exact App Store and Google Play sizes.

The eligible-plan list, as of August 21

Launch day (August 11) was SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium. The August 21 expansion added SuperGrok Plus, Cursor Pro+, and all Cursor Teams plans. The FAQ now matches that wider list.

Where Grok Bot is included
Plan familyEligible SKUs named by xAIWhat to verify before you pay
SuperGrokPlus and HeavyConsumer xAI billing, weekly Bot usage, on-demand overage
Cursor IndividualPro+ and Ultra (not Hobby, not named as Pro)The Individual card on cursor.com starts at Pro; Grok Bot is listed on Pro+ / Ultra
Cursor TeamsStandard and PremiumCursor’s Teams card lists “Access to Grok Bot” from $40 / user / month
EnterpriseWaitlist / account teamPooled usage, admin controls, and access still vary by org

Buy the plan you already need for coding or Grok. Treat Grok Bot as a bundled capability, not a reason to invent a new line item.

Weekly usage vs on-demand token billing

This is the billing model people actually search: weekly usage is included, then on-demand work bills from model and token cost. Eligible subscriptions include a weekly Grok Bot usage pool. When that pool is gone, eligible accounts can keep working on-demand. If you hold both Cursor and SuperGrok, Grok Bot uses whichever has more usage. That dual-sub rule is in the FAQ; it is the one detail most Twitter threads skip.

How Grok Bot billing works after you have an eligible seat
ChargeWhen it appliesWhat xAI actually says
Plan seatMonthly SuperGrok or Cursor subscriptionGrok Bot is bundled. There is no separate Bot SKU.
Weekly usageIncluded with an eligible seatA weekly pool of Bot work. A long computer-use job can empty it in an afternoon.
On-demand overageAfter the weekly pool is goneExtra work bills from model and token cost, not a flat Bot hour rate.
Dual subscriptionYou pay for both Cursor and SuperGrokGrok Bot uses whichever subscription has more remaining usage.

Search “Grok Bot on-demand model and token cost billing” and this is the answer: the seat includes weekly usage; overage is token-priced, not a hidden third subscription.

  • A long computer-use job can spend a week of allowance in an afternoon. Budget the first week as a sampler.
  • A limited-usage trial was announced with the August 21 expansion. xAI did not publish the credit size in the blog post. Treat it as a test, not a production seat.
  • Do not buy a second Bot to “get more computer.” Bots share one cloud computer per user.

What you are not buying

Grok Bot’s computer can open a browser and draft copy. It does not know App Store 6.9″ required sizes, Play’s four-screenshot recommendation, or Guideline 2.3. Paying for an agent seat so it can “make screenshots” is how founders burn a week of tokens producing PNGs that Connect rejects.

  • Use the Bot for competitor research and caption drafts — Grok Bot for ASO.
  • Export frames in AppGrowthKit, which is built for store sizes rather than general computer use.
  • Count metadata in the free ASO character counter before you paste anything into Connect.

Pick a Grok Bot path without overbuying

  1. Check whether you already have an eligible seat

Cursor Pro+, Ultra, or any Teams seat, or SuperGrok Plus / Heavy. If yes, download the app before you change plans.

  2. If you do not, decide the primary product you need

Coding in Cursor, or consumer Grok. Do not add a SuperGrok Heavy seat solely to caption screenshots.

  3. Read the live usage panel after the first job

One overnight research Bot will tell you whether weekly usage is enough. Then decide on overage, not before.

  4. Keep store creatives on a screenshot tool

Hand finished copy into AppGrowthKit. Do not spend on-demand tokens generating fake app UI for review.

Grok Bot pricing questions

No. As of August 25, 2026 it is bundled into named SuperGrok and Cursor plans. xAI’s FAQ tells you to review the current access page and Cursor pricing for terms.

xAI names Cursor Pro+ and Ultra, not Pro or Hobby. Cursor’s Teams card lists Grok Bot access. Confirm in the Grok Bot app or billing screen rather than assuming every Cursor seat qualifies.

The FAQ says Grok Bot uses whichever subscription has more usage.

For research and first-draft copy, maybe. For App Store screenshot production, a specialized maker is still the cheaper, safer path because the output has to match store pixels and Guideline 2.3.

Cursor’s pricing FAQ says subscriptions are sold only through cursor.com. Unauthorized resellers are a security risk. Buy official seats only.

After weekly usage is gone, extra work is billed from model and token cost. xAI does not publish a flat “Grok Bot hour” price. Read the live usage panel after the first job before you assume overage is cheap.

Weekly usage is the included pool on an eligible SuperGrok or Cursor seat. You can continue on-demand after it is empty if the account allows overage. One long research job can spend a week of allowance in an afternoon.

Too much. An eligible Cursor or SuperGrok seat is priced for always-on computer use, not five iPhone frames. Use a store screenshot maker for export sizes and keep the Bot for research.
